June-12-09 - Looking for guitarist
HAIL SITH LORDS!
Ecryptus is in need of another guitarist to round out the lineup.
Our new direction is aimed at a more classic death metal sound, a hint of technical, ample epic/melodic parts, with a few blackened riffs.
Musical influences include but are not limited to:
Morbid Angel, Dying Fetus, Belphegor, Death, Misery Index, Behemoth, Mithotyn, Emperor, Cannibal Corpse, Arsis, Carcass, Windir, Mogwai, etc....
Requirements:
-have your own gig worthy equipment
-have transportation and ability to practice weekly/semi-weekly in Rex/Ellenwood, GA
-have reasonable technical ability to shred like satan. Sweeps, tapping, and ability to play and write solos or the willingness to learn
-be laid back, not prone to drama, and no hard drug use. No whiners or easily bruised egos...
-back up vocal ability, enthusiasm for all things METAL, and love of Star Wars, comics and Sci-Fi are a plus..

June-21-07 - New CD details revealed!
We have just finished writing the final track to our upcoming EP. All the songs are complete and we are just polishing everything up for when we record at a yet to be determined studio in August! As with our previous LP, The Continuum," the new one will be a concept album. The concept should be apparent in the titles... The album title and song titles are as follows:

NEW DRUMMER!
We would like to formally welcome Josh Lomanto to Ecryptus as our our new drummer! Josh brings years of experience from projects such as Petlok from Denver, Colorado. We were blown away by his enthusiasm and technical skill and the way our sound has now rounded out. We hope to have many intergalactic battles with Josh at the helm of "Sonic Thump Command Station Specialist"

Ecryptus took off the late fall and Winter this year with the intentions of writing and recording a new album. But the force is not always with wayward Jedi such as ourselves... We hit a few bumps in the road and dealt with a few dissappointments. But as is the crowning trait of metal, we have persevered. We made it through the Dark Times and are back in full form to bring balance to the force! There are updated pictures, show archives, and bios. Look for more details about Ecryptus here and on our Myspace in the very near future! Thanks to EVERYBODY that helped us make it through the tribulations and thanks to our fans for not giving up on us!
